PowerField has completed construction of seven new solar parks across the Netherlands, adding more than 170 megawatt-peak (MWp) to its portfolio and lifting its total operational solar capacity to 300 MWp. The company said the latest projects mark a key step in its strategy to align solar energy generation with storage and trading capabilities.
The final installation, Solar Park De Mun in the province of North Brabant, recently reached completion, concluding the construction phase for all seven sites. The parks are spread across North Brabant, Gelderland, Overijssel and Drenthe. Some of the projects were developed internally by PowerField, while others were acquired from third-party developers ahead of construction. All seven sites are now operational, with remaining onsite work to be completed over the coming months.
“These projects are a significant expansion of our portfolio,” said Jean-Louis Bertholet, CEO of PowerField. “With more than 300 MWp of operational capacity spread across the Netherlands, we can ensure a stable and efficient generation of solar energy. The combination with storage and trading allows us to respond flexibly to the current electricity demand.”
PowerField said its integrated approach enables the company to deliver solar energy more efficiently and help maintain grid stability by easing congestion. The initiative supports its broader mission to develop a sustainable and resilient energy system across the country.
