German turbine manufacturer Nordex said it has launched an investigation following the collapse of a wind turbine at the Herkentrup wind farm in North Rhine-Westphalia. On Oct. 27, the upper tower segment of an N149/4.X turbine, including the nacelle, hub and rotor blades, fell to the ground at the 13.5MW project, the company told reNEWS.
