CNOOD-Wenchong Heavy Industries (CWHI) has dispatched a third batch of eight XXL monopiles for the Inch Cape offshore wind farm from its Qinzhou yard aboard COSCO Shipping’s Xiang Yunkou, the company said on Monday.
With two previous shipments totaling 16 monopiles — the first delivered to Forth Ports’ Leith facility and the second en route — CWHI has now sent 24 of the 32 foundations it is fabricating for the UK project.
The company is also producing 30 transition pieces for the development, with the final batch in the last stage of production.
“With each shipment, we are proud to see the dedication of our teams and the strength of our partnership with Inch Cape Offshore Limited reflected in real progress,” said Dale Young, CWHI chief development officer. “These milestones reaffirm CWHI’s commitment to delivering high-quality offshore wind foundations safely and on schedule.”
CWHI said it continues to focus on timely delivery, quality assurance, and engineering standards as it supports the Inch Cape project and the broader offshore wind sector.
