ISE Energía, a unit of Gransolar Group, has commissioned two photovoltaic plants with a combined capacity of 10 megawatts (MW) for Spanish financial institution Cajamar in Almería, the company said on Monday.
The projects, part of Cajamar’s Mardesol initiative, are the second collaboration between the firms and contribute to a portfolio of around 20 solar facilities aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and supporting the bank’s long-term energy transition objectives. Together, the plants are expected to generate more than 17,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean electricity annually.
“ISE Energía is in a moment of expansion and consolidation. These projects with Cajamar are an example of how our vision and capabilities are aligned with the needs of developers and companies looking for sustainable and efficient solutions,” said David Fernández, director of ISE Energía. “In addition, we are very excited about all the projects we have underway, such as the largest self-consumption project in Spain, which will be a benchmark in the energy sector.”
ISE Energía, which specialises in self-consumption systems for large energy users, is currently constructing a 28 MW project described as Spain’s largest of its kind. The company has delivered more than 100 self-consumption projects with a total capacity exceeding 150 MW, leveraging Gransolar Group’s two decades of experience in photovoltaic energy.
