German renewable energy developer PNE AG has sold two onshore wind farm projects in France, reinforcing its position in one of its core European markets, the company said on Thursday.
The 14.4-megawatt (MW) Clermont-en-Argonne wind farm, located in the Grand Est region, was developed by PNE France and sold to JP Energie Environnement in July. Construction began in September 2025, with commissioning expected by the end of 2026, PNE said.
The company also sold its 11.3MW Genouillé wind farm in Nouvelle-Aquitaine to French energy provider Sorégies. Developed and built by PNE France, the project entered operation in July 2025. PNE Group will continue to operate the site on behalf of Sorégies through its subsidiary energy consult France.
Advisory firm Alaïa Advisory acted as financial adviser to PNE on both transactions.
“We are delighted to have found two buyers who are as committed to the expansion of renewable energies as we are,” said Heiko Wuttke, Chief Executive of PNE. “Together, we are making another important contribution to the energy transition. At the same time, the sale underlines the importance of the French market for the PNE Group. The sale of both projects once again demonstrates the high quality of PNE France’s work.”
With the sales of Clermont-en-Argonne and Genouillé, PNE has now completed three project divestments in the second half of 2025, following the sale of the Sundern-Allendorf wind farm in Germany. Wuttke added that further project sales are progressing as planned and that the company expects to meet its 2025 financial guidance.
The transactions highlight PNE’s growing footprint in the French renewables sector as the country accelerates efforts to expand its onshore wind capacity and meet European clean energy targets.
