Island Green Power (IGP) has launched a new public consultation on design revisions to its proposed 500-megawatt (MW) East Pye solar and battery storage project, planned for development on land in south Norfolk, eastern England, the company said on Thursday.
The five-week consultation, which runs until 26 November, invites feedback on 26 localised design changes made following IGP’s Phase Two statutory consultation held earlier this year.
The latest amendments focus on improving construction access, ensuring safe delivery of large equipment, and refining the layout and size of the project’s substation, IGP said.
“We are grateful for the feedback we received to our Phase Two consultation, which is being used to update our proposals ahead of submitting our Development Consent Order application (in early 2026), in a way that recognises views of the local community and stakeholders,” said Samantha Jones, IGP’s Project Development Manager.
“The community feedback received has given us a number of suggestions to consider and we hope these updated designs help address these,” she added.
The East Pye project is part of IGP’s wider portfolio of large-scale renewable developments in the UK, designed to support national targets for expanding low-carbon energy generation and grid resilience.
