Bladestar Renewables has signed a three-year framework agreement with ScottishPower Renewables to provide wind turbine blade inspection and repair services across the UK, the companies said on Tuesday.
The agreement follows a competitive tender process and will see Bladestar support onshore wind operations through specialist rope-access services, composite blade repair, and technical support.
“This is a huge win for our team and a big moment for Bladestar,” said Chris Gillies, operations director at Bladestar Renewables. “We’ve worked hard to build a reputation based on honesty, capability, and real industry knowledge — and it’s great to see that recognised by one of the major players in UK renewables.”
Bladestar, based in the UK, provides blade repair services for several leading energy providers, supported by in-house lead access technicians and an online platform that enables real-time job tracking and reporting.
ScottishPower Renewables, part of the Iberdrola Group, said the partnership reflects its focus on working with suppliers that demonstrate strong safety records and consistent service quality.
The new framework is intended to ensure long-term blade integrity across ScottishPower’s UK wind portfolio, while supporting planned and responsive maintenance.
Bladestar said the deal will help it expand its footprint in the renewables sector, reinforcing its position as a specialist provider of blade repair and inspection.
