RWE has signed a frame agreement with Semco Maritime to provide offshore substation maintenance services at its German wind farms, the company said on Monday.
The contract, effective from this month through the end of 2027 with an option to extend for two additional years, covers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and auxiliary equipment services.
The agreement includes RWE’s North Sea projects Amrumbank West, Nordsee Ost, and Kaskasi, located near Heligoland, as well as the Arkona wind farm in the Baltic Sea. RWE noted that the contract could be extended to cover the Nordseecluster projects once they are fully commissioned.
A dedicated project team will oversee and carry out the work, aiming to optimise project management and employ multi-skilled technicians to reduce operational risks and costs.
Klaus Iversen Grau, senior manager for service projects at Semco Maritime, said: “Following our already successful collaboration from 2023, we are excited to intensify our business relations with RWE Offshore Wind with this long-term frame agreement. Our strong presence in the North Sea and Baltic Sea areas enables us to add value to our renewables service clients, combining our adaptable service concepts with our partnership approach.
