Full Circle Wind Services has been awarded an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract by Thrive Renewables for the 16-megawatt Caton Moor wind farm in Lancashire, expanding its footprint in the UK’s onshore wind sector.
The contract, which began in July, covers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as 24/7 remote monitoring of the site’s eight Senvion MM70 turbines. The wind farm generates approximately 47 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually — enough to power over 11,000 homes.
Commissioned in 2006 and repowered in 2005, Caton Moor is one of Thrive Renewables’ oldest operational assets. The deal marks Full Circle’s first engagement with this specific Senvion turbine model, though the company has an established track record servicing the manufacturer’s fleet across the UK.
Full Circle technicians completed on-site training at Caton Moor in July, with support from Thrive Renewables.
“We’re delighted to be chosen as the O&M partner for Caton Moor and grateful to Thrive for enabling onsite Senvion training for our technicians,” said Tulin MacLennan, business development manager at Full Circle. “Adding the MM70 to our portfolio further enhances our Senvion experience in the UK and expands the range of turbine models we can confidently support.”
Adrian Warman, head of operations at Thrive Renewables, said the partnership would help ensure the long-term reliability of a key asset in its portfolio. “Now over 30 years old, Caton Moor is one of our longest standing clean energy projects and an established part of the local community. Partnering with Full Circle gives us confidence that the site will continue to be well maintained and supported by skilled technicians,” he said.
Support operations for the site will be coordinated through Full Circle’s logistics hub in Livingston, Scotland, alongside regional service teams.
