Oceantic Network has appointed three new members to its board of directors, adding senior representatives from JERA Nex bp, RWE, and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), the organisation said on Monday.
The new appointees are Sam Eaton, President and CEO of RWE US Offshore Wind; Jason Meidinger, Project Director at JERA Nex bp for the Beacon Wind project; and Tim Sullivan, CEO of the NJEDA. Each will serve a three-year term through January 2029.
Oceantic Network, which advocates for the advancement of offshore wind and broader marine renewable energy in the U.S., said the appointments expand the board’s collective expertise in offshore energy development and public policy.
“These three additional board members provide invaluable expertise and important perspective as Oceantic Network continues to advance American energy development in the US,” said Liz Burdock, Chief Executive of Oceantic Network.
The new directors join an existing board composed of leaders from companies including ABS, DEME Offshore, Dominion Energy, and Nexans.
Burdock said the board reflects a cross-section of industry experience—from energy developers to government agency executives—and is well positioned to guide the organisation’s evolving focus.
“Our board’s experience as energy developers, manufacturers, and government agency executives are already advancing US development with commitments and investments in a robust, local supply chain,” she said. “Oceantic is positioned to further shape the offshore wind and marine renewable energy industry.”
The organisation said it will continue promoting an “all-of-the-above approach” to energy development, with an emphasis on enhancing domestic energy production, supporting workforce growth, and strengthening national energy security.
