Renewable energy firm RES has signed an agreement with Repsol to deliver operations and maintenance (O&M) services for four utility-scale solar projects in the United States, covering more than 1.5 gigawatts peak (GWp) of capacity.
The long-term contract includes the 825MWp Pinnington and 620MWp Outpost solar farms in Texas, along with the 120MWp Jicarilla 1 and 2 projects in New Mexico.
RES said the deal represents a key step in its expansion in the North American market and further deepens its strategic partnership with Spanish energy company Repsol.
“This is a major step forward in our US growth strategy and a clear signal of confidence in our O&M solutions,” said Jean-Claude Robert, senior vice president of services for North America at RES. “We’re proud to build on our long-standing relationship with Repsol and to support the expansion of high-performance solar in the US and beyond.”
RES added that it will deploy a specialised field team to maintain the assets, aiming to ensure high operational efficiency and system reliability. The company also noted that the contract is expected to support job creation in the clean energy sector across both states.
The agreement adds to RES’s growing portfolio of renewable energy service contracts in North America, and underscores increasing demand for third-party O&M expertise as solar capacity scales across the region.
