Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has received a 94-megawatt (MW) order from German renewable energy developer Energiekontor for two onshore wind projects in Lower Saxony.
Under the agreement, Vestas will supply 13 units of its V162-7.2MW turbines for the Haberloh and Heidkrug wind farms. The order includes a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement aimed at optimising energy production and long-term performance.
Turbine deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027, with commissioning planned for the fourth quarter of the same year.
The deal is part of Vestas’ third-quarter order intake and contributes to the company’s growing presence in the German wind market.
