German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has been selected to deliver and install eight N149/5.X turbines for the 46-megawatt Tasdorf wind farm in the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein, the company said on Wednesday.
The project is being developed by Trianel Erneuerbare Energien, a joint venture of 36 municipal utilities and the energy cooperation group Trianel. The wind farm is located in the Plön district and spans the municipalities of Bönebüttel, Großharrie and Tasdorf.
Nordex stated that the supply contract includes a 20-year premium service agreement aimed at ensuring long-term performance and reliability of the turbines.
According to the company, the turbines will be mounted on tubular steel towers with hub heights of 105 and 125 metres.
The Tasdorf wind farm is expected to generate approximately 110 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, equivalent to the consumption of more than 30,000 households.
The project was developed by ABO Energy, which will also oversee the construction phase starting in autumn 2026. Commissioning is scheduled for spring 2027.
Trianel is financing the development in partnership with Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB) and will operate the facility over the long term.
“The Tasdorf wind farm is a further step in strengthening municipal participation in the energy transition,” Trianel said in a statement.
