Foresight Solar Fund has agreed to sell its 50% interest in the 50-megawatt (MW) Lunanhead battery storage project in Perthshire, Scotland, the company said on Tuesday.
The asset, jointly owned with the Foresight Environmental Infrastructure Fund, has been sold to a third-party buyer at a price in line with its June 2025 carrying value. The transaction is expected to close later this quarter.
The company also said it is reviewing strategic options for its 50% stake in the 50MW Clayfords battery storage project, including potential development, share buybacks, or the repayment of existing debt.
Separately, Foresight Solar confirmed that its 50MW Sandridge battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Wiltshire, co-owned with FGEN, has been energised and is currently undergoing final commissioning and testing before beginning commercial operations.
The fund continues to evaluate opportunities to optimise its UK battery storage portfolio, amid growing demand for flexible grid infrastructure.
