Swedish renewable energy developer OX2 has signed an asset management agreement with Aquila Capital for the 38-megawatt (MW) Soidinmäki wind farm in Central Finland, the company said on Thursday.
Under the agreement, OX2 will oversee technical, commercial and financial operations to optimise the project’s performance. Soidinmäki comprises seven GE wind turbines with an estimated annual output of 126 gigawatt-hours (GWh), enough to supply electricity to approximately 25,000 households. The wind farm was constructed between 2022 and 2023 and entered commercial operation in 2024.
“This agreement further strengthens our collaboration with Aquila Capital, and we look forward to supporting the long-term performance of Soidinmäki,” OX2 said in a statement.
The deal adds to OX2’s existing portfolio of managed assets for Aquila Capital, which includes the Korkeakangas, Tyrinselkä and Ykspihlaja wind farms, also located in Finland.
In total, OX2 manages 1,262 wind turbines along with solar farms and energy storage systems across Europe, representing a combined capacity of 6.7 gigawatts (GW). The company provides asset management services to institutional investors and infrastructure owners as part of its broader strategy to support renewable energy deployment and grid integration.
