Eneos Renewable Energy has entered into a partnership with Norway-based Shoreline Wind to implement its digital platform across offshore wind projects in Japan, aiming to improve construction planning and operational efficiency.
The digital system will be integrated across Eneos’ portfolio to address key challenges including weather-related risks, logistical complexity, and supply chain constraints, the companies said in a joint statement.
“Shoreline’s platform will enable us to create more efficient and cost-effective strategies for construction and ongoing operations and maintenance across all of our projects,” an Eneos spokesperson said.
The partnership comes as Japan accelerates its offshore wind ambitions under its 7th Strategic Energy Plan, which targets 10 gigawatts (GW) of capacity by 2030 and between 30GW and 45GW by 2040.
Ole-Erik Endrerud, founder and chief product officer of Shoreline, said the platform is designed to streamline offshore wind project management. “The Shoreline platform simplifies offshore wind farm operations, mitigating risk and uncovering efficiencies across the supply chain,” he said.
Shoreline noted that its platform is already in use by more than 50 offshore wind developers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) globally.
