Siemens Gamesa, a wind turbine manufacturer, has recently secured a notable agreement with Danish energy company Hofor. The agreement entails the supply of turbines for a substantial offshore wind farm with a capacity of 300MW.
Under the terms of the agreement, Siemens Gamesa will provide 26 of its high-performance 11MW offshore wind turbines for the Aflandshage Wind Farm. Specifically, the company will be utilizing its SG 11.0-200 DD units for this project.
Hofor's decision to award Siemens Gamesa with the turbine agreement came after the project received approval through the Danish Energy Agency's Open Door scheme, which aims to promote sustainable energy initiatives.

The installation of the turbines will be overseen by Siemens Gamesa, with support from Cadeler, a reputable vessel operator. Cadeler will also be responsible for laying the foundations required for the wind farm.
