Full Circle Wind Services has opened a new central warehouse in Livingston as part of efforts to enhance wind turbine maintenance capabilities across the United Kingdom.
The new facility is six times larger than the company’s previous UK warehouse and offers improved logistical access to major road networks and both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. The expansion is aimed at enabling faster delivery of critical components and reducing turbine downtime.
“With this facility we can hold the right parts, in the right place, at the right time—so turbines stay turning,” said Colin Brown, supply chain manager at Full Circle Wind Services.
The warehouse will store key inventory such as electrical control units and components essential to turbine performance. The company said the setup allows for next-day delivery across the UK, contributing to stronger service reliability and faster on-site maintenance response.
The Livingston site also includes flexible office space, meeting rooms, and a technician training centre currently under development. Full Circle said the facility supports its goal of building a circular supply chain by enabling local inspection and redirection of defective parts to refurbishment partners in the UK rather than overseas.
“Sustainability in the supply chain isn’t just about procurement,” Brown added. “It’s about smarter warehouse inventory decisions, refurb over replace, and designing systems that minimise unnecessary transport and landfill.”
The warehouse will be staffed by four full-time supply chain employees and will accommodate rotating technicians, engineers, and management teams.
“This facility is more than a warehouse. It’s a signal of how we’re investing in people, systems, and sustainable growth,” said Billy Stevenson, chief executive of Full Circle. “We’ve built the infrastructure to match our ambition. It supports our multi-brand growth, strengthens technician support, and puts us in a better position to serve customers across the UK.
