Mingyang Smart Energy and Unison have recently entered into a collaboration agreement with the aim of expanding their business operations in South Korea and other regions.
As part of this agreement, Mingyang has committed to investing Krw400bn (€274bn) towards the establishment of various facilities, including a wind turbine nacelle assembly plant, a blade manufacturing plant, as well as the development of onshore and offshore wind farms.
The implementation of this collaboration is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, potentially creating around one thousand job opportunities.
Zhang Chuanwei, Chairman and CEO of Mingyang Smart Energy, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership, stating, “Unison is a well-established local enterprise and a prominent player in the Korean wind power market. On the other hand, Mingyang is a leading Chinese wind power company renowned for its exceptional technical expertise.”
Chuanwei further emphasized that this agreement signifies the beginning of a new phase of comprehensive collaboration between the two companies. He envisions a partnership that will be mutually beneficial and advantageous for both parties involved. Chuanwei highlighted the potential for deepened exchanges, leveraging each other's strengths, exploring innovative cooperation models, and achieving significant breakthroughs not only in the Korean market but also on a global scale.
He concluded optimistically, stating, “Together, we can pave the way for a new landscape in international expansion.”
