Danish engineering and consulting firm Ramboll has named Tommy Flindt as Global Director for Offshore Substations within its Wind Division, effective August 1, 2025.
Flindt joins Ramboll from Copenhagen Offshore Partners, where he held the position of senior director. He brings more than 13 years of experience in offshore wind, including roles in engineering, project management, business development and leadership. His previous employers include Ørsted, Maersk, and Semco Maritime.
At Ramboll, Flindt will lead the company’s global offshore substation operations, overseeing a team of approximately 200 specialists. The team forms part of Ramboll’s wider wind energy division, which includes around 900 professionals globally and provides services such as optimisation, design, and environmental assessments.
“Tommy Flindt brings the whole package,” said Tim Fischer, global executive director for Ramboll’s Wind Division. “I had the pleasure to work with Tommy on the client side, and I am now lucky to welcome him as a colleague to my leadership team.”
Ramboll has been expanding its activities in offshore wind as demand for renewable energy infrastructure continues to grow across Europe, North America and Asia.
