Atlantic Wind Transfers has taken delivery of the Atlantic Endurance, the second of two Chartwell Ambitious-Class crew transfer vessels (CTVs) built by St. Johns Ship Building in Palatka, Florida, the companies said in a statement.
The U.S. Jones Act-compliant aluminium vessel follows the Atlantic Resolute, which was also constructed by St. Johns Ship Building. Both vessels are now fully commissioned and available for charter.
The shipyard, owned by Americraft Marine, has delivered five crew boats for the offshore wind sector over the past 18 months, underscoring its growing presence in the segment.
“The delivery of Atlantic Endurance marks another important milestone for St. Johns Ship Building as we continue to deliver high-performance CTVs that meet the demands of the offshore wind market,” said Joe Rella, president of St. Johns Ship Building.
Atlantic Wind Transfers founder Charlie Donadio highlighted the collaboration between the two companies. “Our ongoing collaboration with St. Johns Ship Building has proven invaluable—their exceptional workmanship, precision, and dedication to quality were critical to the successful completion of this vessel,” he said.
St. Johns Ship Building has undergone significant modernization in the past two years, including facility upgrades and workforce expansion, as it seeks to establish itself as a center of excellence for commercial aluminium and steel vessel construction.
