Greek engineering firm Metlen has secured two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for solar and battery storage projects in the United Kingdom, the company said on Wednesday.
The contracts cover the design and construction of a 115-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic and battery storage park for CERO Generation in Bramley, Hampshire, and an 18 MW battery storage facility for AMPYR Solar Europe in Scruton, North Yorkshire. The combined value of the contracts is £34.8 million.
“These projects underscore Metlen’s role as a reliable partner in the UK’s energy transition, bringing its technical expertise to a growing portfolio of solar and battery storage developments across the region,” the company said in a statement.
Metlen currently has 93 renewable energy projects either completed or in development across the UK and Ireland, including 63 solar and 28 battery storage projects.
