Global Wind Service has completed the installation of all 22 wind turbines at the 154-megawatt Storhöjden wind farm in northern Sweden, marking a significant milestone in Renewable Power Capital’s High Coast project.
The turbines, supplied by Nordex, are N163 models mounted on TS118-03 towers. The site is located in the Höga Kusten (High Coast) region of Sweden.
This installation marks the completion of the first of four planned wind farms under the broader High Coast development, which also includes the 98MW Knäsjöberget, 140MW Sörlidberget, and 161.4MW Vitberget projects.
Following the completion at Storhöjden, Global Wind Service has begun turbine installation at the Vitberget site, where pre-installation works were finalised on July 18. Work is currently underway to install 24 turbines across two tower types.
A spokesperson for Global Wind Service said the completion at Storhöjden reflected strong collaboration across teams: “We especially appreciate the strong attention to safety and quality consistently shown by our technicians on site – their professionalism is key to our success.”
The company also acknowledged its partner Nordex, stating: “It is a pleasure to work side by side on such a major project. We are proud to contribute to the development of clean energy in Sweden and look forward to what lies ahead at Vitberget.”
The High Coast wind cluster is expected to support Sweden’s renewable energy targets, contributing to decarbonisation efforts in the region and boosting local energy generation capacity.
