Vestas has received an order to supply 74 megawatts (MW) of wind turbines for two projects in Finland, the Danish manufacturer said on Monday.
The order, placed by TOWII Renewables—a joint venture between Denmark’s EWII and Japan’s Tokyo Gas—covers 12 V162-6.2MW turbines from Vestas’ EnVentus platform. The turbines will be installed at the Ketunperä and Kopsa 3 wind farms near Raahe in the North Ostrobothnia region.
Each site will feature six turbines, with delivery scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026 and commissioning expected by the end of that year. The deal includes a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
TOWII Renewables acquired the two Finnish wind projects from developer Puhuri Oy and is overseeing their continued development.
The project forms part of Vestas’ third-quarter order intake. A Vestas spokesperson confirmed the company’s commitment to supporting renewable energy growth in the Nordic region through its technology and long-term service partnerships.
