Renewable energy consultancy Natural Power has named Clare Horner as its new director of consulting for Europe, the company said on Monday.
Horner replaces Ciaran Farrell, who has recently taken over as managing director. In her new role, Horner will oversee Natural Power’s European consulting team, which includes specialists in analysis, ecology, planning, and project management.
The team supports a broad portfolio of renewable energy initiatives across the UK and continental Europe, including onshore and offshore wind, solar, energy storage, and grid infrastructure projects.
“I’m delighted to take on this new role at such an exciting time for Natural Power and the wider renewables industry,” Horner said. “We have an exceptional team of experts dedicated to delivering sustainable, impactful projects across Europe.”
A chartered landscape architect with a degree in geography, Horner has worked in the renewable energy sector for over 20 years, with particular expertise in landscape and visual impact assessments. She joined Natural Power as director of onshore consenting and environment, where the company said she led major projects and contributed significantly to the team’s development.
Her promotion expands her remit to cover all consulting disciplines across the business.
Clare brings a wealth of experience, a collaborative approach, and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the renewables sector,” said Farrell. “Her appointment further strengthens our leadership team and will help drive forward our consulting services as we continue to grow and support the energy transition across Europe.
Natural Power is a UK-headquartered consultancy that provides technical and advisory services to renewable energy projects globally.
