Clenera, the U.S. subsidiary of Israel-based Enlight Renewable Energy, said on Monday it will appoint Jared McKee as its new chief executive officer, effective October 1, 2025, as part of a planned leadership transition.
McKee, currently serving as chief commercial officer, will succeed co-founder and current CEO Adam Pishl, who will move into a new role as vice chair of the company’s board. Pishl will also serve as an advisor to Clenera’s executive team.
The announcement marks a strategic shift in the company’s leadership while maintaining internal continuity. McKee has been with Clenera for nearly a decade, holding several leadership roles, including his current post where he has led cross-functional teams and contributed to Clenera’s commercial and operational growth.
Pishl, who co-founded Clenera in 2013, oversaw the company’s evolution from a startup developer to an integrated renewable energy platform and independent power producer. In a statement, he highlighted the strength of the leadership team he helped assemble.
“One of my greatest accomplishments has been assembling a team of exceptional professionals and building the culture, processes, and structure to support their talents,” Pishl said. “Jared is one of many standout leaders who have grown within the organisation… I’m excited to see him take on this new role.”
Clenera develops and operates utility-scale solar farms and energy storage facilities across the United States. Enlight acquired a controlling interest in the company in 2021.
Enlight CEO Gilad Yavetz said the leadership change reflects the company’s long-term succession planning.
“Jared’s appointment reflects the strength and continuity of Clenera’s leadership,” Yavetz said. “He brings nearly a decade of experience within the company, a clear strategic vision, and a strong track record of execution.”
Clenera’s leadership transition comes as the company continues to scale its operations in renewable energy across North America.
