Germany has surpassed the halfway mark in its legally mandated target to double solar power capacity to 215 gigawatts (GW) by 2030, according to new data released by the Federal Network Agency. As of mid-2025, the country’s total installed photovoltaic (PV) capacity stands at approximately 107.5GW, enough to meet about 15% of national electricity demand.
