German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group has signed a contract with Yellice Üretim AŞ, a subsidiary of Turkey’s Efor Holding, to supply turbines for the 160-megawatt Yellice wind farm in Sivas province.
The agreement includes the delivery and installation of 23 N163/6.X turbines, designed to operate at high altitudes between 1,850 and 1,990 metres above sea level. Installation is scheduled to begin in spring 2026, with commissioning expected later that year.
Nordex will also provide a 10-year premium service agreement under the terms of the deal.
The Yellice project is part of Turkey’s YEKA WPP-2024 wind energy auction scheme and represents the third collaboration between Nordex and Efor Holding under the programme.
“This collaboration carries strategic significance – not only by expanding our installed capacity, but also by underscoring the critical role the private sector plays in shaping Turkey’s sustainable energy future,” said İbrahim Akkuş, chairman of Efor Holding.
Ender Ozatay, Vice President for Turkey and the Middle East at Nordex, added: “Yellice will further strengthen the long-standing relationship between our two companies. We’re proud to contribute to this transformative programme once again.”
Turkey continues to expand its renewable energy capacity through competitive auctions aimed at attracting private investment and increasing the share of wind power in the national energy mix.
