Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas said on Monday it has received a 102-megawatt (MW) order for its V162-6.4MW turbines in Argentina, as part of its second-quarter intake.
The company did not disclose the name or location of the wind farm project but confirmed the agreement includes a 10-year service contract. Delivery and commissioning of the turbines are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The announcement comes shortly after Vestas reported two separate turbine orders in Italy totalling 127MW.
“This order in Argentina adds to our growing presence in Latin America and supports the region’s transition to more sustainable energy sources,” the company said in a statement.
The V162-6.4MW is part of Vestas’ EnVentus platform, designed to optimise energy output in varying wind conditions.
Vestas has not released financial details of the transaction.
