German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group has received orders totalling nearly 65 megawatts (MW) for two wind energy projects in France, the company said on Monday.
The contracts cover the supply and installation of a total of 13 wind turbines across two sites located in the Morbihan and Aisne departments. In addition, the deals include long-term service and maintenance agreements.
Under the contracts, Nordex will deliver six N163/5.X turbines, six N131/3.X turbines, and one N149/5.X unit, bringing the total installed capacity to approximately 64.7MW. Deliveries and installations are expected to begin in mid-2026.
In Morbihan, the wind farm will feature turbines from Nordex’s Generation Delta series, part of the 3MW class, with hub heights of 84 metres. The project in Aisne will utilise 5MW-class turbines, mounted on towers reaching heights of 118 and 125 metres.
The company did not disclose the names of the project developers or the specific wind farms.
The orders reflect Nordex’s ongoing expansion in the French wind market, where the company has been active in delivering tailored solutions for varying site conditions.
