Red Rock Renewables has officially opened its new headquarters in Edinburgh, relocating to a site the company says is designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and long-term growth while meeting high sustainability standards.
The move marks a key milestone for the renewable energy firm, which described the office as a reflection of its environmental values and commitment to future expansion.
“Our new home is more than just a place to work – it’s a statement of intent,” said Claire Hart-McCullagh, head of corporate support at Red Rock Renewables. “From the materials we’ve chosen to the way we use the space, this office embodies our values and our vision for the future.”
The new headquarters is located in one of Edinburgh’s most energy-efficient commercial buildings and was developed with sustainability in mind. The company said less than 1% of construction waste went to landfill, and resources such as furniture and IT equipment from its former Princes Street location were donated to local charities.
Red Rock Renewables chief executive Xiaomeng Chen said the move represents both a financial and cultural investment in the company’s future.
“This new office represents a significant investment in the future of our business, and in our people,” Chen said. “It’s a space that supports innovation, encourages collaboration, and reflects the values that drive us every day. We’re proud to have created a workplace that not only meets high sustainability standards, but also inspires those working within it to keep pushing for a cleaner, greener energy future.”
The company’s relocation comes amid continued growth in the UK renewable energy sector, as developers invest in infrastructure and workforce capabilities aligned with national net-zero goals.
