KK Wind Solutions has officially opened a new manufacturing facility and expanded office space in Bengaluru, India, marking its largest production site in Asia as the company strengthens its global wind energy supply chain.
The new factory, located in the Dobbaspet industrial area on the outskirts of Bengaluru, will produce converters and control systems for the wind industry and is expected to create up to 400 jobs. In parallel, the company has inaugurated a new office in the city that will host around 150 employees in global shared services roles.
“India is an increasingly important hub in the global wind energy value chain, and Bengaluru was the clear obvious choice for our expansion in India,” said Mauricio Quintana, CEO of KK Wind Solutions. “With these new facilities, our supply chain is now even more global, enabling us to deliver high quality power control and converter solutions to our customers around the world.”
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Eske Bo Knudsen Rosenberg, Consul General of Denmark in Bengaluru, along with company executives, partners, and customers.
The investment reflects growing collaboration between Denmark and India under the Green Strategic Partnership, which promotes sustainable development and green technology cooperation. India has set a target to install 99 gigawatts of wind capacity by 2030—double its current levels, according to the company.
“As a global company founded in Denmark, we are proud to contribute to this partnership by creating jobs, transferring know-how, and accelerating clean energy adoption,” Quintana added.
Eske Bo Rosenberg highlighted the facility’s role in advancing bilateral goals. “The investment by KK Wind Solutions in a new factory and office facilities in Bengaluru with more than 500 jobs signifies India’s growing importance as a hub for clean technology manufacturing,” he said.
The newly inaugurated 11,000 square metre factory in Dobbaspet will serve as a strategic hub for engineering, manufacturing, and customer support, with capacity to meet rising demand in Asia and globally. The adjacent office space, which is three times larger than the company’s previous premises, will support the company’s expanding shared services operations.
KK Wind Solutions has operated in Bengaluru since 2017. The decision to build a larger site was driven by recent business growth and demand for power electronics and control systems in the renewable energy sector.
