Floating solar developer SolarDuck has received ISO 9001 certification from Bureau Veritas, marking a milestone in the company’s pursuit of quality and operational excellence as it expands its offshore solar offering.
The certification recognises compliance with ISO 9001, the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems, and follows the company’s recent achievement of an EcoVadis rating for sustainability and corporate responsibility.
“This certification is the result of true teamwork,” said Koen Burgers, chief executive of SolarDuck. “It demonstrates the deep commitment of our people to building an organisation that continually improves, innovates, and delivers solutions of the highest standard to our customers and partners.”
Based in the Netherlands and Norway, SolarDuck is developing floating photovoltaic (PV) technology for offshore use, a segment that is drawing increasing attention as countries seek to diversify renewable energy sources and maximise ocean space.
The company said the ISO certification is a step toward strengthening its operational framework as it works to position itself as a reliable and innovative partner for industries pursuing sustainable energy solutions.
SolarDuck added that it remains committed to advancing offshore solar technologies and supporting the global transition to cleaner energy systems.
