German energy company RWE has commenced construction of a new onshore wind farm near Papenhagen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, aiming to strengthen its renewable energy portfolio in the region. The project, located close to the town of Grimmen in the Vorpommern-Rügen district, will consist of four wind turbines with a combined installed capacity of 22.8 megawatts.
