Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group reported a 5% year-on-year increase in order intake for its projects segment in the first quarter of 2025, reaching a total of 2,182 megawatts (MW), the company said on Thursday.
The figure, which excludes service-related business, compares with 2,086 MW in the same period last year. Nordex said it received orders for 337 wind turbines between January and March across 10 countries, with Türkiye, Germany, Finland, Latvia, and Brazil representing the most active markets.
The average sales price per megawatt also saw a slight increase, rising to €0.87 million/MW in Q1 2025, up from €0.85 million/MW in the first quarter of 2024.
“I am delighted with our successful start to the year, achieving an order intake of around 2.2GW and building on our strong performance from recent quarters,” said José Luis Blanco, Chief Executive of the Nordex Group.
“We expect this positive momentum to continue throughout the year and remain committed to our plans for 2025 to win further orders in our core regions inside and outside Europe,” he added.
The company’s first-quarter performance reflects stable demand for onshore wind energy solutions amid the global push to expand renewable capacity. Nordex has been focusing on strengthening its presence in both established and emerging markets, particularly in Europe and Latin America.
