Qair Group has strengthened its Italian subsidiary with the award of a 26MW photovoltaic project in Sicily and the appointment of a new country director.
The solar project, located in Castellammare, was secured through the 16th tender of the FER 1 Decree, administered by the Italian national energy agency GSE. This project marks the conclusion of Italy’s incentive program for renewable energy, which allocated 457.6MW across solar, wind, and hydro facilities.
Additionally, Qair has appointed Krzysztof Wojtysiak as its new country director for Italy. Wojtysiak has been with Qair since the founding of Qair Polska, where he played a pivotal role in its establishment and expansion. He also led the company’s entry into Montenegro, where he continues to oversee operations.
Qair Group has made significant progress in Italy’s renewable energy sector. The company recently commissioned its first solar park in Marrubiù, Sardinia, complementing its existing wind farm in Piedmont. The team in Italy is also preparing to begin construction on nearly 100MW of authorized solar projects.
