INRG has completed the sale of its Little Crow solar-battery project to British Solar Renewables (BSR). The project, located in the UK, consists of a 150MW solar farm and a 60MW battery energy storage system (BESS), making it the largest asset in British Solar Renewables’ portfolio.
The Little Crow project holds Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) status and is the second solar project in the UK to receive a Development Consent Order (DCO). Additionally, the project has secured a Contract for Difference under Allocation Round 6.
The acquisition aligns with British Solar Renewables’ broader strategy to build and operate 700MW of renewable energy capacity by 2027.
Tim Humpage, CEO of BSR, commented, “We’re thrilled to have reached this significant milestone and to officially welcome Little Crow as a BSR project. We’re excited to move into the delivery phase and to see it fully come to life through our design and construction.”
The transaction was facilitated by JLL’s Energy and Infrastructure Advisory team, which acted as the exclusive sell-side advisor to INRG. Marcus Peech, Senior Director at JLL, noted, “We are proud to have supported INRG on this landmark transaction. The successful sale of Little Crow, the first advisor-led consented NSIP transaction in the UK, highlights the increasing maturity of the UK solar market and the strong demand for large-scale NSIP assets.
