Greencoat Renewables has reported a modest decrease in its net asset value (NAV) per share for 2024, with the figure reaching 110.5 cents compared to 112.4 cents in 2023. Despite this slight decline, the company highlighted its continued growth in renewable energy generation capacity.

In 2024, Greencoat Renewables’ total generating capacity expanded to 1.5 GWh, spanning 39 renewable generation and storage assets across five European countries. The company also noted its strategic asset management activities during the year, including the sale of the Kokkoneva wind farm in Finland. The sale, completed at a premium to NAV, helped generate proceeds which were used to repay debt.

Furthermore, Greencoat Renewables made its first investment in the Irish solar market with the acquisition of the South Meath solar farm. This acquisition marks a significant step in the company’s broader strategy to diversify its portfolio and expand its footprint in renewable energy.

The company’s performance highlights its ongoing commitment to advancing its portfolio of renewable assets and contributing to the growth of the European clean energy sector.
