Buss Terminal Eemshaven has completed an expansion of its terminal area and quay-side infrastructure, positioning itself as a key player in offshore wind logistics in the European North Sea. The expansion includes the addition of approximately 15 hectares of heavy-duty storage space and a 200-meter quay connected to Beatrixhaven.
The new area, capable of supporting loads up to 30 tonnes per square meter, enhances the terminal's capacity and flexibility. This expansion is designed to meet the growing demands of the offshore wind sector as well as other industries requiring robust logistics and storage solutions. The added space is directly connected to the terminal's existing quay in the Julianahaven, providing seamless access to the Beatrixhaven heavy-duty quay.
Marc Wegman, managing director of Buss Terminal Eemshaven, commented, “We are pleased to announce that Buss Terminal Eemshaven has grown to become the largest offshore logistics terminal operator in the European North Sea. This expansion will allow us to meet the increasing demands of our clients, particularly in the offshore wind sector, and to continue to provide flexible logistics solutions across a range of industries.
The expansion further strengthens Buss Terminal Eemshaven's role as a crucial logistics hub for handling offshore wind and other heavy-duty components, contributing to the region's growing energy infrastructure needs.
