Vattenfall has selected DEME Offshore to carry out cable protection system stabilisation works at its DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms, located 70km off the coast of Sylt, Germany. The contract, valued at €3.56 million, will involve stabilising the electrical cables at the two sites.
The DanTysk wind farm, with an installed capacity of 288 MW, features 80 Siemens Gamesa turbines, each rated at 3.6 MW. Similarly, the Sandbank wind farm, also with a 288 MW capacity, consists of 72 Siemens Gamesa turbines, each rated at 4 MW.
This project is part of Vattenfall's ongoing efforts to support renewable energy infrastructure in the region and enhance the stability and efficiency of its offshore wind operations.
