Iberdrola and Italian retail group Pam Panorama have announced a power purchase agreement (PPA), set to begin in January 2026. The 10-year agreement will provide renewable energy to Pam Panorama's retail and point-of-sale operations, covering brands such as Pam, Panorama, Pam Local, and Pam City across Italy.

Under the terms of the agreement, Iberdrola will supply solar energy to these locations, marking a significant step in the retailer's sustainability efforts. By the end of 2025, Iberdrola plans to have around 400MW of installed capacity in Italy, bolstered by the imminent launch of its third operational solar plant and the completion of four additional projects.

“We are proud to support partners like Pam Panorama in choosing energy solutions oriented towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future,” said Lorenzo Costantini, Commercial Director of Iberdrola Italia. “The agreement represents the implementation of Iberdrola's strategy to prioritize the marketing of renewable energy to industrial partners, offering flexible and advantageous solutions for leading customers in their sector.”

Alessandro Riolfo, Technical Director of Pam Panorama, emphasized the strategic importance of the agreement for the company. “The agreement with Iberdrola represents a concrete step in Pam Panorama's sustainability journey. Our commitment to reducing environmental impact translates into strategic choices that combine innovation, efficiency, and responsibility,” Riolfo said.

He added, “Thanks to this collaboration, we will also be able to power our stores with renewable energy, contributing significantly to the decarbonization of the large-scale retail sector. We are convinced that investing in sustainable solutions is not only a duty to the environment, but also a value for our customers and for the communities in which we operate.”

To date, Iberdrola has signed 15 similar agreements across Europe, further solidifying its commitment to renewable energy initiatives.
