Enercon has been awarded a turbine supply contract by Fred Olsen Renewables for the 88MW Wind Standard 3 wind project located in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. As part of the agreement, Enercon will provide and install a total of 20 turbines, including 12 E-138 EP3 E3 turbines with a 4.26MW capacity, optimised to 4.5MW, mounted on 111-meter steel towers, and eight E-115 EP3 E3 turbines with a 4.2MW capacity, installed on 67-meter steel towers.

Johan Terpstra, Enercon's Head of Western Europe, expressed appreciation for the collaboration, stating, “We are grateful for Fred Olsen's trust and partnership, and we are looking forward to further strengthening this relationship by delivering what we have promised on this project.”

The Wind Standard 3 project is part of the broader Windy Standard complex, situated northeast of Carsphairn. The wind farm is scheduled to be commissioned in December 2026. The project will contribute significantly to the region's renewable energy capacity, reinforcing the push towards sustainable energy development in the UK.
