Wind power engineering firm Correll Group has been rebranded as SPIE Wind Connect following its acquisition by SPIE Group in 2024.

The rebranding reflects the company’s expanded role within the renewable energy sector, particularly in wind power. Christophe Bernhart, Managing Director of SPIE Global Services Energy, outlined the new vision for SPIE Wind Connect, stating: “Looking ahead, SPIE Wind Connect’s vision expands beyond just cables and turbines. The specialised entity is committed to connecting renewable energy sources to the grid, playing a crucial role in integrating sustainable power into the global energy mix.”

SPIE Wind Connect continues to support the offshore and onshore wind industries by providing high-voltage electrical engineering services across all phases of wind farm development, from installation to operation and maintenance. A key part of its services includes connecting inter-array and export cables, which are essential for energizing wind turbines and generating power.

SPIE noted that the rebranding better reflects the subsidiary’s focus on this specialised area, ensuring a clear message is communicated to both customers and partners.
