Steelwind is investing €50 million in its factory in Nordenham-Blexen, Germany, to expand its capacity to meet the growing demand for offshore wind power. The investment will focus on enhancing the company’s machinery to produce monopiles with a diameter of up to 11.5 meters, with production expected to begin in the second half of 2026.
The company aims to strengthen its position in the offshore wind market, which has seen increasing demand in recent years. Steelwind emphasized that the expanded capacity will allow it to handle larger and more complex projects moving forward.
“These investments will ensure that we can handle the challenging projects of the coming years and further expand our leading position in the market,” the company said in a statement. “Order books are full until 2030,” it added, highlighting the strong demand for its products in the offshore wind sector.
