Taylor Hopkinson has been awarded a quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) surveillance contract for the 1,100 MW Inch Cape Wind Farm project, located 15 km off the Angus coast in the North Sea.

The wind farm, which is being jointly developed by Red Rock Renewables and ESB, will feature 72 offshore wind turbines. It is expected to be fully operational by 2027, with an operational lifespan of more than 25 years.

Taylor Hopkinson has been involved in the project since 2017, supplying engineering, consenting, and development specialists. The company will continue its role throughout the current phase, which includes manufacturing, construction, offshore installation, and commissioning.

Neil Brown, Managing Director – Offshore Wind at Taylor Hopkinson, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing partnership, stating: “We are delighted to further support Inch Cape beyond financial close. In partnership with Brunel, this is now our 7th consecutive offshore wind farm on which we have delivered QA/QC services for UK/European clients fabricating components in China.”

He further highlighted Taylor Hopkinson's global reach, saying: “With 10 operational entities in China, managed by 40 internal staff, we support our clients by delivering comprehensive solutions, including immigration and payroll services, to ensure full in-country compliance with tax and social security regulations.”

John Hill, Project Director at Inch Cape, also praised Taylor Hopkinson's contribution: “Taylor Hopkinson has been a valuable partner during the project's development and continues to provide key support with the mobilisation of highly experienced fabrication site teams for this execution phase of the project.”
