French renewable energy company Qair has secured a contract to develop a 61MW in the Baden-Wurttemberg region of Germany. The contract was awarded through a recent tender by ForstBW, the state's forestry agency.

The wind farm will feature nine turbines and is part of Qair's growing portfolio of renewable energy projects in Germany. The company already operates 31MW of wind and solar assets in the country and is working on a pipeline exceeding 600MW of additional capacity.

Qair's ongoing projects include two wind farms, totaling over 43MW, and a 22MW solar farm currently under construction. Additionally, the company is developing the 194MW Altotting wind project in Bavaria.

Alongside these initiatives, Qair is expanding its footprint in energy storage, with plans for 420MW/840MWh of capacity in Germany.

A company spokesperson noted, “This new wind farm marks another key step in our efforts to contribute to Germany's renewable energy transition and underscores our commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

The Baden-Wurttemberg wind farm is expected to play a vital role in meeting the region's renewable energy targets.
