Solar and battery energy developer Renewable Connections has secured consent for the 90MW Summerway Drove battery energy storage system (BESS) in Somerset, south-west England. The approval for the project was confirmed by Somerset Council today.
This milestone marks a significant achievement for Renewable Connections, bringing the total consented clean energy projects in the UK to over 1GW. The Summerway Drove BESS is a key addition to the company's expanding portfolio of renewable energy initiatives.
