The first major components for the 105-megawatt (MW) Fasikan wind farm have arrived at Sundsvall Harbour, marking a significant step forward in the development of the project located near Bräcke in central Sweden.
Construction of the wind farm has been underway since last year, and while Arise is managing the ongoing construction, the project was sold to SCA, Europe's largest private forest owner. The arrival of the components was described as “a key milestone” for the project, according to an update from Arise.
Arise also confirmed that civil construction, overhead line installation, and substation work are progressing as planned. Once completed, the wind farm will have an installed capacity of 105MW and is expected to generate approximately 333 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of renewable energy annually. This amount of electricity would cover the annual consumption of around 15,000 households.
The project will feature 15 turbines, supplied by Nordex, and is scheduled to be commissioned at the beginning of 2026.
