Siemens Gamesa has reported a €374 million loss for its fiscal first quarter, a reduction from the €472 million loss recorded in the same period last year. The company's order intake for the quarter was €2.43 billion, a notable increase compared to €1.56 billion in the previous year.
Preliminary revenue for the quarter was €2.42 billion, up from €2 billion in the first quarter of fiscal year 2024, reflecting a positive growth trend despite the ongoing losses.
The company's parent, Siemens Energy, also posted mixed results for its grid technologies business. While order intake in this division fell 36.5% to €5.1 billion, revenue rose by 24% to €2.48 billion. Profit before special items for the segment reached €309 million, an increase from €213 million in the same period last year.
These results come amid broader market challenges but highlight some areas of growth, particularly in order intake and revenue.
