Innergex has announced that its 330MW Boswell Springs wind farm in Wyoming, USA, has reached commercial operation. The wind farm is now generating clean electricity and delivering it to the grid under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with PacifiCorp.
Michel Letellier, President and CEO of Innergex, expressed pride in the milestone, stating, “We are proud to see the Boswell Springs Wind Farm reach commercial operation and begin delivering renewable energy. This achievement reflects the hard work of our teams and partners who were committed to delivering this accretive project.”
The electricity produced by the Boswell Springs wind farm is sold under a 30-year, 320MW busbar PPA with PacifiCorp, a utility company serving more than two million customers across six western U.S. states.
To support the project, Innergex constructed a 34.5-mile-long, 230 kV generation-tie line to transport the electricity to its interconnection point, further strengthening the region's renewable energy infrastructure.
